Recessed Lighting in Smithtown, NY

The problem

A Smithtown split-level relied on a single ceiling fixture in the living room and harsh, uneven lighting in the finished basement. The homeowner wanted bright, even, dimmable light without tearing up the finished ceilings.

Our solution

We mapped a balanced fixture layout for even, glare-free coverage and installed slim LED recessed fixtures with minimal ceiling cuts. We wired them to LED-rated dimmers matched to the fixtures so dimming is smooth and flicker-free, and patched every opening cleanly.

The result

Both rooms now have warm, even, fully dimmable lighting. The ceilings were patched cleanly, and the LED fixtures draw a fraction of the power of the old setup.
