Dedicated Circuit in Commack, NY
Added a dedicated 50A GFCI-protected circuit for a new hot tub at a Commack home.
The problem
A Commack homeowner installed a new hot tub but had no safe way to power it. The existing circuits were already loaded, and running a hot tub off a shared circuit isn't code-compliant or safe.
Our solution
We confirmed the panel had a breaker space and capacity, then ran a new dedicated 50A circuit with the correct wire gauge to a GFCI-protected disconnect near the hot tub. We pulled the permit and coordinated the inspection.
The result
